Program Extension or Combination

For those looking to expand their Patagonia experience, we offer two 3-night options that can be added on or combined with your week in Trevelin. Each offers a unique contrast in landscape, water type, and fishing style—whether it’s the wild, remote lakes of Río Pico, or the iconic rivers and spring creeks of Cholila.

RÍO PICO

(4 days / 3 nights – 3 fishing days)

DAY 1
Arrival and Fishing on Lake 5
Begin with a scenic transfer to our remote lodge in Río Pico, nestled on the shores of beautiful Lake 5. After settling in, gear up for an afternoon session on the lake’s crystal-clear waters, known for producing strong, healthy brown trout.
DAY 2
Fishing on Lake 2
Spend a full day fishing Lake 2—a remote, untouched lake offering exceptional opportunities for both brown and rainbow trout. With minimal fishing pressure and pristine scenery, this day promises action and tranquility in equal measure.
DAY 3
Fishing on Lake 3
Continue your adventure on Lake 3, another secluded gem surrounded by dramatic Patagonian landscapes. This lake is ideal for anglers seeking quiet, high-quality fishing in a wilderness setting.
DAY 4
Travel and Final Fishing Session
Wrap up your Río Pico experience with a special morning of fishing en route—either on the Corcovado River or a nearby private-access stream, depending on conditions. After lunch, continue with your journey, whether you're heading to begin your Trevelin week or returning home after it.

CHOLILA

(4 days / 3 nights – 3 fishing days)

DAY 3
Fishing the Chubut River
Venture east into a different watershed to fish the Chubut River, which flows all the way to the Atlantic. Its meandering course, unique geography, and productive pools offer a distinct and rewarding fishing experience, far from the typical mountain river.
DAY 4
Departure or Transfer to Trevelin Lodge
Enjoy a relaxed morning and, depending on your itinerary, either transfer to Esquel Airport for your flight home—or continue on to our Trevelin lodge to begin your week long fishing adventure on the Futaleufú River.

NON-ANGLERS

Patagonia is a land of adventure. When we’re not guiding or fishing ourselves, we fully embrace the outdoor lifestyle the area offers. We know the best options for non-fishing activities and can tailor these to fit the needs of each customer.

Optional activities include horseback riding, mountain biking, rafting, kayaking, trekking, bird watching, and day trips to visit glaciers and the Alerces forests, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. In November, you can take stunning photos in the beautiful Tulip Fields, and in January and February, trek to the incredible Ice Tunnels on La Torta mountain.

Experience the charm of a bygone era with a ride on La Trochita, a century-old narrow gauge steam train once known as the Patagonian Express. Today, it delights tourists as a captivating attraction, offering a journey through history amidst the landscapes of Patagonia.

The Welsh and Native heritages are woven into the local culture and history of this part of Patagonia, providing a rich experience for guests who wish to incorporate cultural elements into their adventure with us.

Second visit! What a great place. Couldn’t have asked for anything more. Fantastic accommodation, food, guides and fishing. Thank you for all you have done to make our trip so special.
